Chelsea Joy Handler born 25th February 1975 in Livingston New Jersey. She was the eldest child from a family of six. Handler grew up with a family with six kids. Her mother was employed at home while her father sold cars used by other people. Her mother, born in Germany and an Immigrant in United States since 1958. United States since 1958, was born in Germany. After 10 years of combating breast cancer, Handler passed away in the year 1989. Handler's dad was Jewish so she raised to Reform Judaism. Handler was raised in a wonderful neighborhood with a happy upbringing. She moved from the city of her birth to Los Angeles when she was 19 years old, in order to pursue a career in acting. In order to support her family, Handler began to work as an actor. Her ability to tell stories was uncovered as she reached the age of 21. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand-up comedy. Handler started her career by joining the female-only Oxygen group, who was a part of a television show known as Girls Behaving Badly. This series was known for its hidden camera as well as humorous jokes. It ran between 2002 and 2005. Handler then started appearing in other programs such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was hired on The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006, as she became the host of E! It was titled The Chelsea Handler Series. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted two years. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour at the American embassy the year after. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO broadcast her stand-up shows. In 2010, she revealed that she was going to be hosting for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. MTV Video Music Awards. With this, she became the first woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
